About Little Dragon Therapies

My History with Kinesiology

My first encounter with kinesiology was when I was in university. My first noticeable symptom was a rash on my hand and some mild swelling. I didn’t think too much of it and it went away after a week or so. But it kept coming back. And over the next year it got worse and spread to other parts of my body. I was told by one doctor that it was stress and I should just ‘find a way to calm down’. Eventually my entire arm swelled up and I was given steroids and antihistamines to deal with the symptoms but no underlying cause was found. In desperation I agreed to go and see a kinesiologist (knowing nothing about it). Within an hour he had given me an explanation, a way forward and, most importantly, hope. It sounds dramatic, but I genuinely believe that encounter changed, and quite probably saved, my life.

Years later I came across another kinesiologist and, out of curiosity, booked in for a session. By this stage I was done with university, in my first ‘real’ job, living alone miles from old friends and family, stressed and suffering with depression. However my physical health was fine. The session was amazing, I left feeling calmer and more centred than I had for a long time. That day my car broke down in a supermarket car park, 50+ miles from home. The AA came out and declared it a right off and took it to a scrap yard there and then. The day before, that would have left me weeping in a car park unable to cope with the set back. That day I took it all completely in my stride, shrugged my shoulders, and got on with it. That experience led me to search out more information about kinesiology.

History of Little Dragon Therapies

I started training in kinesiology in 2016, undertaking the 6 month Foundation course in Systematic Kinesiology, accredited by TASK (https://kinesiology.co.uk/). The course was fascinating, but as often happens, life got in the way, so after qualifying in 2017 I put kinesiology to one side to focus on other things. After a bit of time out, I found myself drawn back to it, and was lucky enough to be able to refresh my foundation training in 2018/19.

Kinesiology has had such a positive impact on my life, and that of those around me, that I decided that I needed to continue my journey with it. Since finishing my refresher training, I have undertaken workshops in advanced kinesiology techniques and energy healing, facilitated by a very experienced kinesiology practitioner (https://www.essencehealthtraining.co.uk/). Since then, I have decided to expand my practice away from family and friends in order to offer up the powerful healing kinesiology can enable to a wider audience. It was this drive which led me to set up Little Dragon Therapies.
